Mehbooba Mufti slams India over Pahalgam false flag

SRINAGAR:  Following the alleged false flag operation in Pahalgam, former Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti has accused the Indian government of exploiting the incident to unleash a fresh wave of repression against innocent Kashmiri Muslims in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

Mufti termed the Pahalgam attack a “premeditated drama orchestrated by the Modi regime to justify a crackdown on Kashmiris.”

She revealed that in Kulgam, the body of a youth, Imtiyaz Magray, abducted two days earlier, was recovered from a river, while several civilians were reportedly killed in Bandipora and other districts.

She further alleged that Indian forces are conducting illegal detentions, subjecting youth to torture, and executing extra-judicial killings under the guise of counterterrorism.

“Victims are being thrown into rivers to erase evidence,” she said, demanding an impartial international investigation into the Pahalgam incident.

Defense analysts have echoed Mufti’s stance, asserting that the incident was a strategic ploy aimed at demonizing Kashmiri Muslims and bolstering India’s repressive policies in the region.
