A nine-year-old Palestinian girl, Tala Abu Ajwa, was killed in an Israeli airstrike while playing on her roller skates in front of her house in central Gaza.

She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors made efforts to save her, but she succumbed to her injuries.

A video showing Tala lying in the hospital, covered in blood with her roller skates still on her feet, sparked outrage over the Israeli war crimes against children in Gaza.

In a separate incident, the Israeli occupation forces killed a 16-year-old Palestinian girl outside Jenin in the West Bank amid an intensified wave of raids that began last week.

Since the onset of the Gaza offensive in October 2023, Israeli airstrikes have targeted children in tents, schools, and playgrounds, with many being found decapitated or severely burned in the rubble.

The ongoing bombings have left many children orphaned, and they are now facing amputations, disease, psychological trauma, and starvation due to Israel's blockade of aid.

Despite the orders of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to cease military operations in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army has intensified its attacks on the enclave while simultaneously imposing an aid blockade on the starving Palestinians.

As per the UNICEF report in June, children in Gaza have faced an unbelievable amount of brutality, with more than 14,000 killed and many unidentifiable due to the severe harm their bodies suffered.

The overall Palestinian death toll since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza has reached at least 40, 800 with more than 93,534 wounded. Thousands more remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
