Despite the extreme weather, the airport chief stated that the exact cause of the crash could not yet be determined, noting that conditions were deemed suitable for landing. Meanwhile, a passenger told the media that there were no apparent issues during the flight.

Flight operations at Toronto Pearson Airport resumed after a brief suspension.

According to experts, the passengers' survival was due to several factors, including the aircraft's effective engineering, the use of seat belts, and the crew's timely decisions.

The passenger seats are designed to withstand forces 16 times greater than gravity, ensuring they remain securely in place during turbulence or impact.  For this reason, passengers are instructed to fasten their seat belts to minimize the risk of injury in potential accidents.
