Private images and videos featuring Israel's ex-defence minister, Benny Gantz have been released online by hackers from Iran, Israeli media claimed.
International media reports indicate that an Iranian hacker group has taken responsibility for a significant cyberattack targeting former Israeli officials, including ex-Defense Minister Benny Gantz and retired IDF Lt. Col. Adi Sabag.
The anonymous group disseminated explicit videos and images of Israeli officials, including footage of Sabag dancing at a social gathering and a purported affair involving Gantz and a secretary linked to Netanyahu.
Reports have emerged that the leaked material contained sensitive information pertaining to Netanyahu.
Israeli officials have not yet commented on the authenticity of the leaked images, which has generated widespread attention and speculation.
The event underscores the increasing cyber tensions between Israel and Iran, both of which have a history of engaging in physical and cyber confrontations.
This incident occurs amid escalating cyber confrontations between Tehran and Tel Aviv. In recent months, the IDF has carried out airstrikes on Iranian sites in Syria to limit Iran’s influence in the area, while Tehran has retaliated accordingly.
