Pakistan's Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, said the passage of the Pakistan Day resolution and the recognition of the Pakistani community’s contributions augur well for strengthening Pakistan-US relations.
He vowed to expand this initiative to other states, particularly those with a larger concentration of the Pakistani diaspora.
This recognition by the Texas House is part of a broader effort to celebrate diversity and inclusivity within the state, reflecting Texas's rich multicultural landscape.
Pakistan Day commemorates the historic Lahore Resolution of March 23, 1940, which laid the foundation for the creation of an independent state for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
