The United States has deported 200 Indian nationals as part of a major crackdown. Those deported include the notorious gangster Anmol Bishnoi, two fugitives wanted in Punjab, and 197 individuals residing illegally.

According to Indian media, gangster Anmol Bishnoi is the younger brother of the already imprisoned gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi.

He is wanted in India in several serious criminal cases.

The cases registered against Anmol Bishnoi include the murder of former Indian minister Baba Siddique and the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence.

Investigations revealed that Anmol Bishnoi fled India in April 2022 using a fake passport, after which he continued to travel between the United States and Canada on forged Russian documents.

Indian media reports that during this period, his elder brother Lawrence Bishnoi was running the gang’s operations from abroad.

On the other hand, U.S. authorities had arrested Anmol Bishnoi last year in California and placed him under surveillance through an electronic ankle monitor. He was later kept in custody and deported from Louisiana.

According to Indian media, Baba Siddique’s family had filed a legal petition with U.S. authorities, who recently informed them about the suspect’s deportation.

The family of Baba Siddique has urged Indian authorities to immediately arrest Anmol Bishnoi upon his arrival in Delhi.
