A woman's anger turned violent when she ran over the manager of a fast food restaurant after discovering her burger was missing a piece of chicken.

According to media reports, the incident took place at a Jack in the Box restaurant in St. Louis' Central West End neighbourhood.

The woman, identified as Talanye Carter, ordered a burger but found it incomplete. She returned to the restaurant to complain about the missing chicken piece and sauce.

Local media reported that the manager attempted to rectify the issue by adding the missing chicken pieces and ranch sauce.

However, the 41-year-old's anger persisted and she spat on the manager's face before storming out.

When the manager tried to note down her license plate number to file a police complaint, Carter saw him and sped away, running him over.

Fortunately, the manager escaped serious injury. However, the police have arrested the suspect following the incident.
