Family caught planting cockroaches on food to skip bill at restaurant

In a bizarre incident, a family dining at a restaurant planted cockroaches on their plate to skip the bill. The restaurant, known for its strict hygiene standards, apologised and waived the bill as a gesture of goodwill.

The incident occurred at Puerto Chale restaurant in Guadalajara, Mexico.

A fraudulent family accused the restaurant of serving them food contaminated with cockroaches and refused to pay their bill.

The restaurant chose not to charge the family for their meal to avoid an unnecessary scandal.

After the scammers left the place, their deception was quickly exposed when the restaurant's CCTV footage showed them deliberately placing cockroaches on their plates.

The video captured a woman taking a small container from her bag and using a fork to place cockroaches onto her plate at the table.

The Mexican restaurant shared the CCTV footage on their Instagram account, explaining the incident.

The restaurant management disclosed that, upon their decision not to charge those diners, they ordered a large number of items from the menu.

“We remind you that in Puerto Chale we always take care of hygiene in all our food to give you the best experience,” the restaurant clarified.

After the video went viral, social media users criticised the scammers, saying that without the video evidence, the incident would have damaged their reputation.
