A university in India reportedly forgot to conduct an exam despite issuing a date sheet, leading to chaos among students, who blamed the administration for not informing them beforehand.

Rani Durgavati University in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, issued admit cards for the first-semester MSc Computer Science exam, which was scheduled for March 5. However, the exam did not take place on its designated date.

The university's Vice-Chancellor ordered an investigation into the matter and instructed authorities to immediately release a revised schedule after a meeting with students who, in a symbolic act of protest, expressed their grievances blindfolded.

Ten students were scheduled to take the MSc first-semester exams held between February 14 and March 13. However, the "Computer Organization and Assembly Language" exam scheduled for March 5 was not conducted.

“When the students reached the university on Tuesday morning, they were informed that there was no examination and even the university didn't prepare the question papers," said the examinees.

In a meeting with the students and the head of the department, VC Rajesh Verma said, "An inquiry has been initiated in the matter as the exam controller said the exam has been postponed but how did they forget to inform college and students about it. The action will be taken against the responsible officers after a probe report.”
