Two young motorcyclists were injured after being hit by a speeding Vigo vehicle near Karachi’s Ancholi area. According to eyewitnesses, the drivers of the Vigo fled the scene immediately after the incident.

The vehicle involved in the accident was registered in the name of JDC Foundation’s founder, Zafar Abbas. The number plate reportedly fell off due to the impact of the collision, making it easier for bystanders to trace the ownership.

Shortly after the accident, Zafar Abbas arrived at the scene with his team, who allegedly snatched mobile phones from bystanders attempting to record videos of the aftermath.

The Samanabad Police also reached the scene after receiving reports of the accident.

Zafar Abbas later took the injured motorcyclists to a private hospital for treatment. In a statement to the media, he claimed that the motorcycle was being driven without headlights and collided with the Vigo.

“The motorcyclists are not seriously injured and are being treated,” Zafar Abbas stated, adding, “My office boy had taken the vehicle to get ice when the accident occurred.”

According to the Express News, the two youths injured in the collision have been identified as Abdul Ahad, 18, and Hanif, 19, both residents of Azizabad Mohammadi Colony and cousins. Abdul Ahad's condition is reported as critical; he is currently on a ventilator at a private hospital.

JDC Foundation founder Syed Zafar Abbas arrived at the hospital and facilitated the transfer of both injured youths to a private hospital on Stadium Road for further treatment.

According to police officials, upon receiving news of the accident, officers reached the scene to find that the vehicle involved had been quickly moved and its driver had disappeared.

Police later visited the hospital to record statements from the injured, but their critical condition prevented them from doing so. The families of the victims requested that medical treatment be prioritised before any legal action.

The Station House Officer (SHO) confirmed that police possess the registration number of Syed Zafar Abbas's car, the driver's name, and details of the youths' motorcycle.
