Saudi couple celebrates wedding ceremony underwater in Red Sea

A unique underwater wedding ceremony took place in the Red Sea as Hassan Abu Ola and Yasmine Daftardar from Saudi Arabia exchanged vows in a picturesque view.

Surrounded by the vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life near the coastline of Jeddah, the Muslim couple described their underwater wedding as an 'unforgettable experience.'

Fellow divers of Hasan Abu Ola and Yasmine Daftar and the local diving group 'Saudi Divers' under the leadership of Captain Faisal Flambon joined together to celebrate the wedding.

The groom revealed that the diving team had surprised the couple by organising the first-ever underwater wedding in Saudi Arabia to celebrate their union.

"It was indeed a surprise," Hassan Abu Ola told Gulf News, adding, "After we geared up, Captain Faisal and the team told us they had planned to celebrate our wedding right there under the sea. It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience."

According to Abu Ola, he and his spouse were not intimidated by the extraordinary adventure, thanks to Captain Faisal and his team's efficient planning.

"Alhamdulillah, there were no challenges. The celebration went smoothly, and everyone was amazed by how unconventional and spectacular it was," Abu Ola explained. 

As licenced divers, Hassan Abu Ola and Yasmine Daftardar had no trouble performing their underwater wedding ceremony.

The couple hoped that other adventurers would be inspired by their experience of this phenomenal escapade.
