In an unusual development in the United States, a death row inmate has requested a high-calorie feast as his final meal.
Foreign media reports say that inmates sentenced to death are traditionally asked about their final wishes, with most opting to meet their loved ones one last time. However, in the US state of Georgia, a condemned prisoner made a request that surprised many.
According to reports, 52-year-old Stacey Humphreys has been sentenced to death by lethal injection after being convicted of a double murder.
Humphreys, who is approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs around 305 pounds, is reportedly obese and chose calorie-rich food for his final request before execution.
Media reports state that his final meal includes barbecue beef brisket, pulled pork, a bacon double cheeseburger, French fries, coleslaw, cornbread, buffalo wings, a meat-lover pan pizza, vanilla ice cream, and two lemon-lime sodas — a request that has drawn global attention
