A wedding ceremony in the Indian state of Bihar turned into a battlefield over a shortage of sweets.
According to Indian media, a wedding in Bodh Gaya district descended into chaos when a dispute broke out over the shortage of rasgullas.
Family members of both the bride and groom engaged in a free-for-all, exchanging punches and throwing chairs, leaving several people injured.
Reports state that the incident erupted after the wedding rituals were completed.
The bride’s family expressed displeasure over the limited number of rasgullas, which initially seemed like a minor issue but quickly escalated into a major brawl.
A video circulating on social media shows guests from both sides slapping and punching each other and hurling chairs across the venue.
According to Indian media, the bride’s father claimed that he had refused the groom’s family’s demand for an additional dowry of INR 200,000.
He alleged that the groom’s family used the shortage of sweets as an excuse to trigger the confrontation.
