Domestic consumers to get gas in fixed slots from December to February

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has issued a new gas load-shedding schedule for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the winter months, announcing time-specific supply for domestic consumers from December to February.

According to SNGPL officials, domestic users will receive gas three times a day, allowing households to prepare breakfast and meals during the scheduled hours.

Under the new timetable, gas will be available from 5:30am to 8:30am, again from 11:30am to 1:30pm, and in the evening from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Officials said the industrial sector will remain exempt from load-shedding, adding that gas demand has multiplied during the winter season.

“There is gas in the system and we are not facing a shortage,” an SNGPL spokesperson said. “However, gas is expensive, and consumers are advised to use it according to their needs.”
