Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Friday, tracking a surge in international bullion rates. The price of gold per tola increased by Rs3,500, reaching Rs351,000, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 10 grams of gold also climbed by Rs3,000 to settle at Rs300,925. The jump in domestic rates coincided with a rise in international gold prices, which reached $3,326 per ounce — up by $35, including a $20 premium, as reported by APGJSA.

The local market had experienced a drop in prices a day earlier, when gold per tola declined by Rs1,900 to Rs347,500.

Meanwhile, silver prices followed a similar upward trend, increasing by Rs38 per tola to Rs3,466.

The bullion market’s movement reflects ongoing volatility in global commodities trading, with gold prices reacting to shifts in investor sentiment and macroeconomic developments.
