Gold prices fall sharply by Rs5,200 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a significant decline on Thursday, tracking a downward trend in the international market.
According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs5,200 to settle at Rs493,762 in the local market. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs4,458, reaching Rs423,321.
The decline follows a smaller drop observed a day earlier, when gold prices fell by Rs1,200 per tola to close at Rs498,962 on Wednesday.
In the international market, gold prices also witnessed a notable decrease. The rate dropped by $52 per ounce, settling at $4,714, including a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the domestic market also moved downward. The price of silver per tola declined by Rs225 to reach Rs8,099.
