The price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs. 1,100 per tola on Monday, reaching Rs. 314,800, compared to Rs. 313,700 on the previous trading day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The rise marked a new all-time high for gold in the local market. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs. 943, reaching Rs. 269,890 from Rs. 268,947.

Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold saw a Rs. 865 increase, now priced at Rs. 247,408 compared to Rs. 246,543.

Meanwhile, the prices of silver remained stable, with per tola silver holding at Rs. 3,530 and 10 grams silver at Rs. 3,026.

In the international market, the price of gold rose by $13, reaching $2,997 per ounce from $2,984, while silver remained unchanged at $33.85 per ounce.
