Gold prices surge by Rs1,300 per tola in Pakistan

KARACHI: The prices of gold and silver have risen in the international as well as domestic markets on Wednesday after a two-day halt.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold has risen by $13 per ounce to $4,933.
According to All Pakistan gems and jwelers, the price of 24-carat gold per tola has risen by Rs1,300 to Rs516,062, while the price per 10 grams has also risen by Rs1,114 to Rs442,439.
The price of silver has also shown a moderate increase. The price of silver per tola has risen by Rs32 to Rs8,046, while the price per 10 grams has also risen by Rs28 to Rs6,898 in the domestic markets.
Spot gold prices have risen 1.1% to $4,931.61 per ounce at 0627 GMT on Wednesday after falling more than 2% in the previous trading session. US gold futures for April delivery rose 0.9% to $4,950.20.
Spot silver prices have risen 2.9% to $75.58 per ounce after plummeting more than 5% in Tuesday’s trading session.
Spot platinum prices have risen 2% to $2,047.75 per ounce, while palladium prices have risen 2.4% to $1,722.22.
