Gold prices in Pakistan bounced back on Wednesday, aligning with global market trends.
The price per tola increased by Rs2,200, reaching a record high of Rs277,200, while 10-gram gold rose by Rs1,886 to Rs237,654.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the new surge follows a decline of Rs700 in the previous session.
"The increase in gold prices is driven by global market dynamics," said an APGJSA representative.
Internationally, gold rates rose by $22 to $2,675 per ounce, with a $20 premium.
Silver prices remained stable at Rs3,050 per tola.
Last month, gold prices reached Rs277,000 per tola, a then-record high.
Globally, easing US Treasury yields and anticipated US economic data have boosted gold prices.
Investors await key US economic indicators, including retail sales, industrial production, and jobless claims, to gauge the Federal Reserve's future interest rate decisions.
