Police have submitted their investigation report in the Radio Pakistan attack case before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Peshawar, with sources saying the report names Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in connection with the case.
The report was submitted during a hearing after the investigation officer appeared before the ATC, according to sources.
Sources said the police report specifically cited Sohail Afridi’s alleged involvement in the Radio Pakistan attack case.
The prosecution also presented reports prepared by the Punjab Forensic Science Agency before the court.
The court will consider the forensic findings and reports submitted by other government departments before hearing arguments from all parties at the next hearing, sources said.
The submission of the police report had previously been delayed. According to sources, it was eventually presented on the directions of senior police officials.
The ATC adjourned further proceedings until September 14, when the parties will present their arguments on the police report.
