The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs13 per kilogram for August, raising the official rate to Rs254 per kg.
According to a notification issued by OGRA, the LPG price has been increased from Rs241 per kg to Rs254 per kg.
Following the hike, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has risen from Rs2,849 to Rs3,001, while the price of a commercial cylinder has increased from Rs10,961 to Rs11,546.
The revised prices will come into effect from 12:00am on August 1.
The increase is expected to add to the financial burden on consumers, particularly households that rely primarily on LPG for cooking and other daily needs.
