Petrol price in Pakistan likely to drop by Rs15 per litre

The prices of petroleum products in Pakistan are expected to decrease due to a decline in global oil prices, with petrol prices likely to drop by Rs13 to Rs15 per litre, according to industry sources.
Sources indicate that the government may implement a significant reduction in fuel prices for the next fifteen days. Diesel prices are also expected to decrease by up to Rs11 per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is preparing a summary of proposed adjustments, which will be submitted to the prime minister for approval.

If approved, the Ministry of Finance will issue an official notification regarding the new prices.
Earlier, the Pakistani government reduced the prices of petroleum products by up to Rs5 per liter for a 15-day period.
According to the official notification, the price of high-speed diesel was cut by Rs5.31, bringing it down to Rs258.64 per liter, while petrol saw a marginal reduction of Re0.50, settling at Rs255.63 per liter.
Similarly, the price of kerosene oil was lowered by Rs3.53 to Rs168.12 per liter, and light diesel oil saw a decrease of Rs2.47, reaching Rs153.34 per liter.
