SBP, commercial banks to remain closed on THIS day

The State Bank of Pakistan has announced December 25 as a public holiday nationwide to mark the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
State Bank, commercial banks, development financial institutions, and microfinance banks will suspend normal operations on this day.
Bank offices will remain closed, and transactions, including clearing and settlement services, will be unavailable.
The State Bank has advised the public and businesses to manage their financial needs in advance to avoid inconvenience.
ATMs will function as usual, though occasional technical disruptions may occur.
Online banking, mobile apps, and other digital payment services will remain accessible based on individual bank policies.
December 25 is celebrated nationally with events, seminars, and speeches honoring Quaid-e-Azam’s contributions, alongside flag hoisting on government buildings.
