Actress Nargis allegedly assaulted by husband over financial dispute

Pakistani actress Nargis has been allegedly assaulted by her husband over a dispute on financial matters.

The incident took place in Lahore’s Defence C area, where a heated argument between the couple allegedly led to violence.

Following the altercation, Nargis' brother, Khurram, made an emergency call to the police (15 helpline) and infirmed them abiut the incident.

According to her brother, the former stage actress has allegedly faced recurring abuse from her husband since the marriage. 

Nargis, who retired from the entertainment industry to manage her own beauty salon, married Inspector Majid Bashir a few years ago. 

Although no legal proceedings have been initiated yet, Nargis’s family has voiced concerns over her well-being, urging for intervention.

Police have stated that any formal complaint, should it be filed, will be handled as per legal requirements.
