Central Sessions Court continued proceedings in the high-profile case against Rajab Butt, accused of desecrating Islamic symbols.

The accused, who had been granted interim bail, did not appear in court today. The court approved his request for exemption from attendance.

Rajab Butt’s lawyer submitted an application under Section 196 of the Criminal Procedure Code, and the court has directed the investigating officer to provide a report regarding the application. The court has adjourned the hearing until April 10.

The case against Rajab Butt was registered at Haideri Market Police Station following allegations of desecration.

The matter has drawn significant public attention, and the court’s orders indicate that further investigation is underway to ensure proper legal proceedings.
