Model and actress Ayesha Toor opined that, while Karachi faces many infrastructural and social issues, women there are less likely to face harassment compared to those in Lahore.

During her appearance on the FHM podcast, she shared her fondness for Karachi, explaining why she has no desire to leave the city and what sets it apart from others.

Toor acknowledged that Karachi grapples with issues ranging from street crime to infrastructural problems but emphasised her love for the city, stating, “I like the people of Karachi.”

She also discussed her experiences as a woman in the port city, defending her view that Karachi is less harassing for women compared to Punjab.

“In Karachi, when you step out of your house, men may glance at you, but they almost immediately turn their faces and go back to their work because everyone is busy,” the Dil Hi Tou Hai actor said.

Toor recounted a time when she received help from strangers in Karachi while stranded on the road during heavy rain and floods.

"After landing in Punjab, the culture difference between the two places starts to be felt, so I like Karachi better than Punjab."

She remarked, “I don’t see male dominance in Karachi as much as in Lahore or Islamabad. While Lahore is known for its hospitality and warmth, there is a noticeable male dominance there, whereas Karachi is different in this regard.”
