The provincial government of Punjab has declared a prohibition on smoking and the use of tobacco-related products in all government and private educational institutions throughout the province, as announced on Tuesday.
This initiative is designed to deter smoking among students and foster a healthier atmosphere within schools.
An official notification from the Secretary of School Education Punjab has instructed all district education authorities to enforce this ban rigorously.
The notification explicitly forbids the use of cigarettes, vapes, nicotine pouches, shisha, and other intoxicating substances on school grounds.
