Amid controversy surrounding his comments on polygamy, actor Danish Taimoor flaunted the skyrocketing engagement on his Instagram account.

Taking to Instagram, Danish shared a screenshot of his profile’s dashboard and wrote, “157.1 million views on Instagram in the last 30 days, another record.”

Danish has frequently mentioned in a lighthearted manner that his popularity has surged since his comments on polygamy sparked a heated debate on social media. The actor also faced backlash for openly asserting his right to marry four wives in front of his wife, Ayeza Khan.

Brushing off the controversy as a misunderstanding, the actor had expressed his love for Ayeza Khan.

Although he later apologised, Danish did not fully acknowledge the criticism, instead insisting that his words were misinterpreted.
