In a touching tribute to her father and late politician Murtaza Bhutto, Fatima shared her inspiration behind her son's name.
“I wanted a name that would act as an inspiration to him in his life but also one that would cloak him in love and strength, a name that he could wear with the knowledge that it was given to him from deep within his mother’s heart and soul to protect him throughout his life, to give him in equal measure both grace and fearlessness, a sense of his homeland and of joy,” the “Songs of Blood and Sword” author explained.
“Every time I thought of what name might do that, I always came back to my beloved father’s name,” she added.
Fatima and Graham exchanged vows in an intimate nikkah ceremony on April 27, 2023 in Karachi.
Murtaza Bhutto was the son of Pakistan Peoples Party founder, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and was the brother of Benazir Bhutto and Shahnawaz Bhutto.
He left behind two children, Fatima and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Jr. Murtaza was shot dead along with six associates in a police encounter near his home in Karachi on September 20, 1996.
