German travel vlogger Ken Abroad experienced a deeply moving moment during his visit to Madinah as part of his travel vlog. Overwhelmed by the city's spiritual atmosphere, he decided to stop filming out of respect for the sanctity of the place.
A video of Ken Abroad is circulating online, showing him standing across from the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) mosque, visibly emotional as he shares his experience in the sacred city.
“I can’t hold back my tears, to be honest,” he said, teary-eyed and overwhelmed by the moment.
“I can really feel the power of this place. It’s such a magical place,” he added, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to visit Madinah. He also acknowledged that many Muslims long to visit but may never get the chance in their lifetime.

“I can only imagine how it must feel to come here as a Muslim,” he said while his eyes were filled with admiration for the city’s spiritual significance.

While describing his emotions, Ken was visibly moved again and stated, “It’s a very touching moment here.” He also urged non-Muslim travelers to respect the sanctity of the place when visiting.
During his vlog, Ken Abroad found the experience of hearing the Adhan (Islamic call to prayer) 'particularly special.'
He had planned to document every aspect of Madinah, capturing all the significant landmarks in his vlog. However, as he immersed himself in the atmosphere, he decided against filming, realising that some experiences are beyond the lens.
He acknowledged that including detailed footage of the city would have made his video more engaging, but he emphasised that respect took precedence.
“To be honest, in this video, I don’t care about how many views I get. Sometimes, it’s not all about getting views on social media, it’s more about being respectful to the culture, the religion, and the place,” he said.
“I will definitely remember this visit for the rest of my life. It’s a very special travel experience,” he concluded.
