Renowned actor Osman Khalid Butt called out an X user for attempting to demean women and dictate how they should behave after marriage.
A Pakistani man had expressed his masculine views about the drama Jama Taqseem, blaming actress Mawra Hocane (who plays Laila) for not managing the household properly and claiming that Qais’s (her husband) life had been disturbed ever since they got married.
The X user went on to advise men on the internet not to marry a woman who, among other things, “leaves your shoes and socks dirty” and “doesn’t know how to tie a tie,” he thought he was giving out valuable life advice.
Osman Khalid Butt gave a strong reaction and didn’t hold back, firing back with a fiery 26-point, outlining the various responsibilities expected from a Pakistani wife.

In his list, the actor urged men to steer clear of marrying any woman who “fails the saalan consistency test,” “doesn’t spontaneously transform into a Kababjees whenever guests come unannounced.” or “thinks a man can, God forbid, operate a washing machines."
Fans quickly backed Butt in the comments, calling him a “king” and saying he was “on fire.” One of them even joked that this might be the reason he’s still unmarried.
While Butt’s comeback was clever, it highlights a grim truth in Pakistan, where domestic violence remains widespread. According to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, 90% of women in the country have faced some form of domestic abuse.
