Grieving father of child star Umer Shah requests prayers to bear the loss

The father of late child star Umer Shah expressed deep gratitude for the love and condolences his family has received from across the world following the sudden death of his younger son from cardiac arrest. Speaking about the tragedy, he said the family is going through an immensely difficult time.

Breaking his silence for the first time, he appeared on a morning show aired on a private entertainment channel. Host Waseem Badami revealed that Umer’s father, who was in Rawalpindi at the time, received the devastating news of his son’s passing while away from his family, who live in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Reflecting on the loss, he said: “His body may have left the world, but his memory is still alive. For us, he is always alive.”

He also shared that Umer’s mother was in deep shock on the day of his death, though she has slowly begun to recover. Still, the family continues to struggle with grief. “People from around the world have sent prayers. We only request that you continue praying for our patience. If you want to do anything for Umer, then please, pray for us,” he appealed.

Umer Shah, who passed away on September 15, was initially thought to have suffered from food poisoning. His parents and doctors first reported that he had vomited, which entered his lungs and affected his oxygen supply, eventually causing his heart to stop.

According to his uncle, Umer had been in perfect health before the incident. At around 2:30 am, he suddenly vomited and was rushed to hospital, but tragically died within 30 minutes. Later, Waseem Badami disclosed that the child star had a history of suffering from fits, which may have contributed to his sudden death.
