Controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, who was recently honey-trapped by a woman and abducted by unidentified individuals, disclosed that doctors have advised him to avoid sunlight. For this reason, he met with the woman late at night.

At a press conference held on Monday with police officials, journalists inquired about the reason behind Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar's decision to meet the woman late at night.

The police officials explained that as a writer, he often works at night.

The playwright also answered the question, revealing that he is currently unwell and doctors have instructed him to avoid sunlight for the next five years.

"Regardless of my health, it's common practice for me to schedule meetings late at night, with both men and women. I have met with people as late as midnight numerous times," he added.

The London Nahi Jaunga writer revealed that the woman had been “trying to convince him to meet her for the past 15 days. Eventually, I decided to go at 4:40am.”

Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar was abducted and robbed after being honey-trapped by a woman, the Lahore Police revealed in their investigation on Monday.

A senior police official informed a local newspaper that nine suspects, including two women, were detained for honey-trapping and kidnapping Qamar after he filed a complaint with the Sundar police station on July 20.

A committee was formed to investigate the matter and apprehend the suspects.

According to the first information report (FIR), Qamar received a call from a woman named Amina Urooj, who invited him to her residence in Bahria Town to discuss a drama project.

"I was sitting with the woman when someone knocked on the door, and she told me it might be a delivery boy as she had ordered some food," Qamar stated in his complaint.

He disclosed that seven armed men then entered the room and forced him to surrender his belongings, including his car keys and mobile phone.

The suspects withdrew Rs267,000 from the ATM after compelling him to disclose his PIN. He was then forced into a car, subjected to physical and emotional torture, and abandoned in a deserted location.
