Renowned vocalist Umair Jaswal recently opened up about navigating the challenging phase after his divorce by placing his faith in God and expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of his fans during this difficult time.
In a recent appearance on a TV show, Jaswal was asked about how his life has changed since moving on from his first marriage and entering a new union.
“God has been very, very kind,” he said, adding that his divorce occurred as part of a journey that God intended to guide him toward the “right place.”
Jaswal shared that the difficult journey taught him valuable life lessons, explaining that after going through hard times and emerging stronger, one learns to appreciate the path they have traveled.
Reflecting on the outpouring of support he received, Jaswal said, “Millions of my fans and even people who weren’t my fans reached out with their concern.” To reassure them, he said he would often remind them, “Is mein Allah ki koi behtari hogi [There must be a silver lining].”
He also expressed joy at the love he received when announcing his second marriage and sharing a photo on social media. “I am very happy that people love me, and I always ask them to keep me and my family in their prayers,” he said.
Commenting on the public’s curiosity about his second marriage, with many requesting photos of the couple, Jaswal remarked, “People are obsessed with the personal lives of others.”
He pointed out that some people “open that door” by sharing too much, inviting questions about their private matters, only to later resent the intrusion.
Jaswal added that while fans know him through his work, he prefers to keep his social media focused on his career, emphasising that his marriage and personal choices are private matters that should remain off-limits to others.
