Junaid Khan reveals he once slapped Sanam Saeed for real during shoot

Pakistani star Junaid Khan disclosed that he once forcefully slapped Sanam Saeed during the shooting of a TV series at the request of the director and the actress herself.

The actor recently appeared on Ahmad Ali Butt's podcast, where he shared the incident, saying that "he still regrets his act but it was necessary to fulfill the requirements of the script and that he was following the director's instructions".

The scene was filmed during the shooting of Mata-e-Jaan in 2012 when he was required to slap Sanam Saeed for real.

Director Mehreen Jabbar instructed Khan to deliver a real slap to achieve the desired effect for the dramatic scene. 

Despite his refusal, both Jabbar and Saeed insisted on the genuine slap for authentic portrayal.

Initially, the Berukhi actor hesitated but he ultimately performed a slow slap, which lacked impact on the camera and required a reshoot. 

On the second attempt, he slapped Saeed harder, after which she also experienced "little pain".

Junaid Khan later apologised to Sanam Saeed for the act, calling it the worst scene of his career.

He expressed regret for agreeing to it under pressure from the director and actress and stated he would avoid such scenes in the future.
