Ayesha Habib, a talented young woman from Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab, has set a remarkable precedent by becoming the first Pakistani to earn a place in the Space Studies Program (SSP) 2025—an elite international initiative hosted by the International Space University (ISU).
This year’s edition of the program will be held in South Korea, gathering exceptional individuals from across the globe.
Ayesha’s selection is not just a personal triumph—it’s a significant achievement for Pakistan’s emerging presence in the global space sector. Her participation paves the way for future innovators from the country to engage with cutting-edge research and international collaboration in space sciences.
Coming from the relatively lesser-known city of Mandi Bahauddin, Ayesha’s accomplishment sends a powerful message: dreams are not bound by geography.
Her journey underscores the power of perseverance, passion, and commitment in reaching global heights.
At SSP 2025, Ayesha will join an international cohort of engineers, scientists, policymakers, and researchers for an intensive nine-week program covering a broad range of disciplines—from satellite technology and planetary science to space law and entrepreneurship.
Participants also collaborate on interdisciplinary projects, attend expert-led seminars, and receive mentorship from top space professionals.
For the first time in the program’s history, a Pakistani voice will be present at this global forum.
Ayesha’s inclusion in the ISU program not only highlights her individual brilliance but also represents a step forward for Pakistan’s participation in the global space community.
