Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani has paid pop sensation Justin Bieber a staggering $10 million (approximately INR83 crore) to perform at his son Anant Ambani's sangeet ceremony.
The Canadian pop star has arrived in Mumbai to attend the pre-wedding events and will perform at the sangeet ceremony on July 5 at Antilia, the Ambani family residence.
Bieber's fee surpasses that of other famous performers, including Rihanna, Beyonce, and Akon, who have also performed at the first pre-wedding celebrations in March this year.
Earlier, Rihanna was paid INR74 crore, Akon received INR2-4 crore, Shakira received INR10-15 crore, and Katy Perry received INR45 crore for their performances at the pre-wedding bash in India's Jamnagar.
The wedding festivities for Ambani’s youngest son began with an intimate puja ceremony at the Ambani residence on June 29.
This was followed by a mass wedding organised by the Ambanis for over 50 underprivileged couples from Maharashtra’s Palghar on July 2.
The couple got engaged on January 19, 2023, and are set to tie the knot on July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.
