Kareena Kapoor was at girls’ night hours before attack on Saif Ali Khan

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan spent the evening with friends just hours before her husband, Saif Ali Khan, was attacked during a burglary attempt at their home in Mumbai’s Bandra on Thursday.

Kareena's last Instagram story before the tragic incident showed her attending a small gathering with her sister Karisma Kapoor, actress Sonam Kapoor, and filmmaker Rhea Kapoor.

She had reposted Karisma Kapoor’s Instagram story, which featured three wine glasses placed on a table, accompanied by the caption, "Girls night in."

Despite the late-hour attack on Saif, several Indian media outlets confirmed that Kareena was at home with their children, Taimur and Jeh, when the incident occurred.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen outside her residence in Mumbai’s Bandra following a burglary attempt that left her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, injured.

In a video, Kareena appeared visibly anxious as she stood with her staff. Her team also issued a statement to inform fans and well-wishers about the incident, addressing concerns regarding the well-being of the celebrity couple.

“There was an attempted burglary at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night,” the statement said, adding, “Saif sustained an injury to his arm and is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment.”

“The rest of the family is doing well,” the statement continued. “We kindly request media and fans to refrain from speculation as the police are conducting their investigation.”

The Hum Tum star underwent surgeries and is currently receiving further medical treatment at the hospital.

"Saif has six injuries, two of which are deeper. One of the wounds is dangerously close to his spine," said Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital.

The Hindustan Times reported that Khan suffered multiple injuries over his body. However, his back is stable following surgery, and he is able to move his hands and legs. His condition remains stable.

The incident reportedly took place in the early hours of Thursday at 2:30 am, when an intruder entered Khan’s home. The actor engaged in a scuffle to stop the burglar, during which he was stabbed.

As of now, no suspects have been arrested, and police investigations are ongoing.
