Prime suspect involved in honey-trapping case related to Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has leaked the alleged obscene video of the famous writer, sources said on Tuesday.
According to the sources, a video, which went viral on social media, allegedly features Qamar and Amina Urooj, the woman who reportedly honey-trapped the scriptwriter.
However, the authenticity of the video is yet to be verified.
Sources further said that the alleged video might have been made by using deepfake technology.
Earlier, the prime suspect Hasan Shah alleged that he possesses "indecent videos" of Qamar, which he threatened to leak.
"I have videos of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, one and a half to two hours long, where he can be seen under the influence of alcohol too," the suspect claimed.
"I also have inappropriate videos of him, which I wanted to leak earlier but stopped due to Muharram. Now, those videos will also come out," he added.
Shah alleged that Amina Urooj was "actually" in a relationship with the dramatist.
"He had been kissing her feet and telling her that he fell in love with her. She was a top model, and as soon as she met Khalil -ur-Rehman, their relationship grew," the suspect claimed.
However, the prime suspect along with his accomplice was arrested by the Peshawar police.
Talking to Geo News, an official of the Peshawar police confirmed that the video was made viral by Hasan Shah on social media platforms.
The incident of Qamar's abduction came to light on July 21 when the Meray Pass Tum Ho writer lodged an FIR of his abduction with the police.
Later, the Lahore police also confirmed that Mr Qamar was abducted and robbed after being honey-trapped by a woman, named Amina Urooj.
As per the details provided by the writer in FIR, the controversial figure received a call from Amina, who invited him to her residence in Bahria Town to discuss a drama project.
The suspects withdrew Rs267,000 from the ATM after compelling Qamar to disclose his PIN. He was then forced into a car, subjected to physical torture, and abandoned in a deserted location.
Addressing a press conference later, the playwright revealed that doctors have advised him to avoid sunlight. For this reason, he met with the woman late at night.
