Lahore court grants bail to Rajab Butt, Nadeem Nani Wala in gambling apps case

A sessions court in Lahore on Monday granted interim pre-arrest bail to YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Mubarak, alias Nadeem Nani Wala, in a case pertaining to the promotion of illegal gambling applications.

The two appeared before the Lahore sessions judge to seek interim bail. Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed Qureshi heard their bail applications.

During the proceedings, the court directed both the applicants to join the investigation and ordered that they should not be arrested until January 6.

The court was informed that Rajab Butt earlier secured bail from the Islamabad High Court, which instructed him to approach the sessions court for further proceedings.

After hearing arguments, the court approved the interim bail of Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak, extending relief to both until January 6. Further hearing in the case will take place on the next date.

They filed their bail applications through Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq. Rajab Butt sought bail in one case, while Nadeem Mubarak applied for bail in two cases registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).

YouTuber Saadur Rehman, alias Ducky Bhai, has also been named in the present case. He was arrested in the case at the Lahore airprot on August 17 and was granted bail last month.
