The famous competitive cooking reality television series MasterChef is set to return to screens for the second time after a long hiatus. The show will offer an opportunity to Pakistanis who wish to showcase their culinary talent and take it to a global level.
Originally conceived by Franc Roddam in the United Kingdom in July 1990, MasterChef was successfully revived in 2005 and has since evolved into a globally recognised culinary franchise, with localised versions produced in over 50 countries.
In 2014, the first season of Master Chef Pakistan was aired on Urdu 1, however the channels did not continue airing the culinary show afterwards. Season 1 featured 26 episodes ending with Ammarah Noman crowned as the winner.
After 11 years, Master Chef Pakistan season 2 will be aired in the coming days as the initiative has been taken by Hum TV. The channel has officially released the teaser on YouTube as well.
The show is described as a high-calibre production that aligns with the international standards of the renowned franchise.
Esteemed culinary experts, including Chef Saadat Siddiqui and other prominent chefs, will serve as judges. Contestants from across Pakistan will compete to showcase their culinary skills and regional flavours.
The show will start airing from October 31 at 9:00 pm on Hum TV and Masala TV.
Social media users are excited to see Master Chef return to Pakistan. Many viewers are also sharing their suggestions about the show. A few people have even expressed interest in applying for the competition.
