Maulana Tariq Jameel says he was receiving "marriage proposals till five months ago"

Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel has opened up about his personal life and the "sacrifices he made for the preaching of Islam".

Recently, the cleric appeared in a podcast hosted by Hafiz Ahmed where he shared that he was still receiving marriage proposals as recently as four to five months ago.

During the interview, the host asked Maulana why he chose to contract only one marriage, despite Islam allowing multiple marriages at a same time.

In response, the scholar explained that he sacrificed his personal life for the duty of spreading the knowledge of Islam.

He humorously added that girls would even call him expressing their desire to marry him.

"I was receiving marriage proposals till four to five months ago. Girls used to call me saying they want to marry me," Maulana said.
