Renowned Spanish actor Pedro Alfonso, who starred in the popular Netflix series Money Heist, has extended his support to the Palestinians in light of Israel’s military offensive in Gaza since October 7.
Pedro Alfonso stated that people in Gaza are facing an unprecedented amount of death and destruction and called for an end to the relentless war machine that targets humans and buildings without distinction.
“I look at the faces and see that people have aged. They are afraid of new massacres, afraid of new displacements," he said.
“They are exhausted from moving from one town to another, from one tent to another to escape this war machine that makes no distinction between a human being, a building, or a tree and destroys everything,” Alfonso lamented.
“It is a war of non-life. If it ends, a new one will begin because there is nothing left to live for. No electricity, no kindergartens, no schools, no universities. There is nothing left in the Gaza Strip,” he concluded.
Alfonso’s country, Spain, formally recognised Palestinian statehood in a historic move on May 28, along with Ireland and the Netherlands.

Celebrities around the globe have been urged by their followers to express their support for innocent civilians in Gaza who are being killed in a genocide by Israel.
Celebrities such as Susan Sarandon, Mark Ruffalo, John Cusack, Bella Hadid, Nicola Coughlan, Dua Lipa, Kehlani, Cate Blanchett, and several others have spoken out against Israeli atrocities in Gaza.
Israel has continued to forcefully evict Palestinians from their lands, killing at least 37,765 people, destroying their homes, businesses, and crops, and establishing illegal settlements on the occupied territories.
Despite repeated efforts for a ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a permanent end to the military assault on the coastal enclave.
