Netizens fed up with Rajab Butt's flashy display of wealth

Vlogger Rajab Butt, often in the news for controversial acts, is again criticised for showing off his wealth in a careless way. He was seen throwing currency notes at his niece's aqiqah ceremony.

A video appeared online showing Rajab Butt and his family in a hall, tossing money around, with people standing on the scattered notes. This was seen as a shocking display of wealth in a country where nearly half the population lives in poverty.

This extravagant show of wealth also contradicts Islamic teachings of modesty, decency, and balance. 

This practice of throwing money at celebrations has become more common among wealthy individuals, who not only do it but also proudly share it on social media.

Throughout the Aqiqah event, Rajab and his family members were seen holding large bundles of cash, showering it over their newborn niece. In one clip, even Rajab Butt's friend joined in, throwing money over him.

This isn't Rajab Butt's first brush with controversy. He previously made headlines for his extravagant wedding, where he also threw money, displayed weapons, and even showcased lion cubs.

Following those videos, authorities in Punjab arrested him for illegally showing weapons and keeping wild animals without permission.

Social media users have strongly objected to the practice of throwing money at events, calling it disrespectful and a pure display of showing off.
