Leading figures from Pakistan’s entertainment industry expressed their heartfelt condolences and sympathies to their followers in the neighbouring country, India, as they mourn the gunmen attack at a tourist site in Pahalgam, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), on Tuesday.

Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a tourist spot in Pahalgam town of IIOJK, killing 26 people and injuring 12 others on Tuesday.

Taking to Instagram, acclaimed actor Fawad Khan, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming Bollywood film, shared a moving message in solidarity with the victims and their families.

“Deeply saddened to hear the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrifying incident, and we pray for strength and healing for their families in this difficult time,” his post read.

Actress Mawra Hocane, who recently reconnected with her Indian fanbase following the rescreening of her Bollywood debut Sanam Teri Kasam, also condemned the attack and emphasised the universality of grief and empathy.

“Tragedy anywhere is a tragedy for all of us. My heart is with the innocent lives affected by the recent events. In pain, in grief, and in hope, we are one. When innocent lives are lost, the pain is not theirs alone, it belongs to all of us. No matter where we come from, grief speaks the same language. May we choose humanity, always,” she wrote.

While expressing her condolences to the bereaved families, Mawra added, “An act of terrorism against one is terrorism against all... What’s happening to the world?”

Renowned actor Usman Khan also took to X to extend his sympathies and offer prayers for the grieving families who lost loved ones in the attack.

He condemned terrorism “wherever it occurs, whether in Pakistan, India, or anywhere else,” stressing the urgent need to denounce such “senseless violence” collectively.

Hania Aamir took to her Instagram story to share her heartfelt condolences with the grieving families, saying, "Tragedy anywhere is a tragedy for all of us. My heart is with the innocent lives affected by the recent events." She underscored the shared experience of loss, writing, "Grief speaks the same language. May we choose humanity, always."
