The fugitive prime suspect involved in kidnapping and torturing controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has made shocking claims in an interview with a private news channel.
The suspect Hasan Shah alleged that he possesses "indecent videos" of Qamar, which he threatened to leak.
"I have videos of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, one and a half to two hours long, where he can be seen under the influence of alcohol too," the suspect claimed.
"I also have inappropriate videos of him, which I wanted to leak earlier but stopped due to Muharram. Now, those videos will also come out," he added.
Shah denied the allegations of kidnapping the Pyary Afzal writer in a honey trap.
"If we were the kidnappers, we wouldn't have come with original number plates in our own cars, and our names and phone numbers wouldn't have been known to him [Khalil]," he mentioned.
The prime suspect also claimed that the scriptwriter was lying about being kidnapped.
"Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar himself was behind this, not Amina Urooj. If his mobile call data record [CDR] is released, it will be clear who used to call whom."
Shah alleged that Amina Urooj, the woman who allegedly honey-trapped Qamar, was "actually" in a relationship with the dramatist.
"He had been kissing her feet and telling her that he fell in love with her. She was a top model, and as soon as she met Khalil -ur-Rehman, their relationship grew," the suspect claimed.
The police have named Hasan Shah as the "mastermind" behind the kidnapping and have declared him a close associate of Amna Urooj, who is currently in police custody.
The incident of Qamar's abduction came to light on July 21 when the Meray Pass Tum Ho writer lodged an FIR of his abduction with the police.
Later, the Lahore police also confirmed that Mr Qamar was abducted and robbed after being honey-trapped by a woman, named Amina Urooj.
As per the details provided by the writer in FIR, the controversial figure received a call from Amina, who invited him to her residence in Bahria Town to discuss a drama project.
The suspects withdrew Rs267,000 from the ATM after compelling Qamar to disclose his PIN. He was then forced into a car, subjected to physical torture, and abandoned in a deserted location.
Addressing a press conference later, the playwright revealed that doctors have advised him to avoid sunlight. For this reason, he met with the woman late at night.
