Princess of Wales praised for re-wearing Pakistani attire on Eid

The Princess of Wales, Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, joined the Muslim community in celebrating Eid ul Fitr and opted to re-wear a stunning outfit she first donned during her 2019 visit to Pakistan. This thoughtful gesture showcased her appreciation for sustainable fashion.

During her 2019 tour of Pakistan, Kate Middleton wore a white ensemble featuring a modern Pakistani-style shalwar kameez with traditional embroidery.

She was spotted wearing the similar outfit again when she joined the Muslim community to celebrate Eid ul Fitr. The elegant dress was designed by Pakistani designer Elan.

Khadija Shah, CEO of Elan, shared a picture on Instagram of Kate Middleton wearing a dupatta from the same brand.

"It's heartwarming to see the Princess of Wales visiting the Muslim community on Eid," Khadija Shah wrote. 

"I was especially thrilled to see that she re-wore her Elan outfit on Eid, which she first wore on her visit to Pakistan during PM Imran Khan's government," she added.

Khadija Shah further said, "A princess with no limit to what she can acquire, exhibiting values that a world obsessed with overconsumption, vulgar display of wealth, frivolity, and flippancy is losing."

"There could be no better example of dignity, strength, and resilience," she opined.

Kate Middleton first wore the black and white outfit, designed by Elan, during her first-ever visit to Pakistan. The outfit was later featured in Elan's Eid collection.

The last royal visit before hers was made by the current British King Charles III, then a prince, who visited Pakistan with his wife, Princess Camilla, in 2006.
