Rajab Butt, Maan Dogar booked over 'rape and blackmail' charges

LAHORE: A serious criminal case has been registered at Lahore’s Nawab Town Police Station against five individuals, including well-known YouTubers Rajab Butt and Maan Dogar, following grave allegations leveled by a female social media activist.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the complainant stated that she became acquainted with Salman Haider, reportedly a cousin of Rajab Butt, through social media platforms.
She alleged that Salman invited her to meet, where he allegedly drugged and raped her. Furthermore, she claimed that Salman recorded obscene videos of her during the assault and later used the footage to blackmail her.
The FIR further reveals that YouTuber Rajab Butt allegedly detained her at a house owned by Salman Butt, where she was held against her will.
The complainant asserted that other individuals, including fellow YouTuber Maan Dogar, were also present and complicit in her illegal confinement.

Lahore police confirmed that a case has been officially registered under relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), encompassing charges of rape, blackmail, and unlawful confinement.
Law enforcement officials added that investigations are actively underway to ascertain the facts and determine the specific roles and level of involvement of each accused individual.
Authorities assured that the case will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate legal action will be taken in accordance with the findings.
