Ramsha Khan says celebrities act as their own paparazzi in Pakistan

Renowned actress Ramsha Khan recently revealed that Pakistan’s entertainment industry lacks a true paparazzi culture, so much so that stars often end up acting as their own photographers.

In a candid interview, she quipped that instead of being snapped by lurking cameras, celebrities usually hand their phones to their managers to shoot content, which they later share themselves.

Ramsha’s remarks, delivered with a lighthearted tone, highlighted how Pakistani celebrities rely heavily on self-managed social media presence and their inner circle for publicity, unlike the traditional paparazzi culture seen in Bollywood and Hollywood.

“We don’t have paparazzi here. We ask our managers to take our pictures randomly whenever we go somewhere,” she said.

Recently, superstar Mahira Khan also revealed that she manages her own social media and does not have a PR team, saying she prefers to present herself authentically without depending on anyone.
