Saba Qamar drags journalist to court in Rs100 million defamation case

Renowned actress Saba Qamar has filed a Rs100 million defamation suit against journalist Naeem Hanif over his allegations that her house in Lahore was gifted to her by a man she was in a relationship with.

In a series of posts on Instagram, Saba Qamar announced that she had initiated legal proceedings in response to what she described as false and defamatory claims.

She shared images of the legal notice, stating that the action pertains to baseless accusations made by Hanif, regarding her personal life and property in Walton.

Her legal team stated that the journalist’s remarks were intended to tarnish her reputation and mislead the public.

Journalist Naeem Hanif  alleged that Saba had been gifted a home in Lahore by a man. Reacting firmly, the actress on November 3 dismissed his claims as false, stating, 'See you in court.'

Addressing her fans and peers, Saba Qamar urged everyone to speak out against defamation and disrespect, saying:

“No one has the right to spread lies just for attention. Don’t stay silent, call out such behavior and hold people accountable.”She concluded her message with a powerful note, encouraging others to stand firm for truth and dignity, adding,“Let’s bring change by standing strong and speaking the truth.”
